A Year of Girl Friday!

Dear Friends,

One year ago today, I officially launched Girl Friday! I am forever grateful to all of you for joining me on this adventure. Thanks to your suggestions and interests, over the past 224 Instagram posts and countless stories I've covered a range of topics, including the renewed conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, wrongful incarceration in the U.S, the plight of Uyghurs in China, and inspiring women-led political movements in Belarus and Thailand.

In September 2020, I started The Friday Brief to highlight pressing issues and connect you with organizations working to solve them. The Friday Brief is a weekly newsletter promoting a world of good. Over the course of 23 newsletters, we've covered many issues, including learning about child labor in the beauty industry, discovering a coalition of nuns combatting human trafficking around the world, and examining continued land rights conflicts between Native American tribes and the U.S. government. Thank you for forwarding the newsletter to friends and family - our Girl Friday community is growing because of your support.

Many thanks to everyone who has submitted book suggestions for the Girl Friday "Bold and Bookish" book club. If you have been entering the monthly giveaways, I now have a separate Instagram account just for the book club. Be sure to follow @gf_boldandbookish!

This is only the beginning; stay tuned for a special Girl Friday April 2nd announcement.

Your Girl Friday,

Pixie Carlisle
